Mazatlán is located in Sinaloa, Mexico, almost in the very central part of the Pacific Ocean, and it's also known as "La Perla del Pacífico", due to the beauty of its beaches and its rich marine fauna.

It has very well defined areas: The Port and Central area and the Golden area. And nested between these two, a narrow curve bathed by the beaches that join the hotel community with the port, all of them with numerous natural and artificial attractions. Mazatlán has become the ideal spot for relaxing and meditation, because it has an exquisite natural beauty and a top class tourist infrastructure. Mazatlán is the second longest port on the coast, after Acapulco, and it has being an important center throughout the years for the growth of tourism. In the center, you can enjoy the architecture of majestic buildings, discovering among narrow streets and alleys, the story of "La Perla del Pacífico".





WHERE TO STAY AND HOW TO GO - HOTELS AND FLIGHTS

The Golden Zone is where most of the popular hotels, restaurants, bars, nightclubs and beaches are located. Among the most visited ones are Playa Camarón and Playa Gaviota, both with golden, fine sand and transparent water with waves and hills, perfect for surfing. There are other areas as well to practice other sports, like parasailing, banana boating, jet skiing and swimming, admiring the out of this world sunsets and an attractive landscape formed by the islands and the coast. That is the area where the Marina Mazatlán was built, with exclusive condominiums facing the Pacific Ocean.

You can get to Mazatlán by air, by train, by ship or in your own vehicle. Mazatlán has an international airport with direct flights from and to the US and many Mexican cities, and the national airlines connect Mazatlán with many Mexican and international cities.

ACTIVITIES - WHAT TO DO

Among the best beaches on the port is Sábalo beach, with fine golden sand and clear water. It's all set to practice: ski, jet ski, sailing, parasailing, boating, diving and even horseback riding on the beach. The water has a variety of conditions to enjoy calm waters and big swells for surfing.

Every two hours, tourist are transported to the three islands: Isla Chivos, Isla Venados and Isla Pájaros, from the Gaviotas and Sábalos beaches. These islands are right in front of Mazatlán's tourist zone, and they are a shelter of fauna and flora. There you'll find semi-deserted zones, tropical zones, coast and hills.

There is infinite fun in Mazatlán, where you can find the best restaurants, the most luxurious hotels and the most appealing nightlife.

The waters of Mazatlán invite the practice of numerous water sports, like waverunners, parasailing, kayaks, hobby cats, surfing, jet skiing, banana boating. Sport fishing is one of the most popular activities, there are fishing fleets that offer this entertainment in several spots. Out of the water, there are other options as well, like baseball or bullfights.

Shopping is a delight, with its high end stores, its beautiful galleries and the incredible amount of crafts exhibited in parks and museums. You also have an extensive selection of restaurants that serve national and international food, for every taste and budget. If you visit Mazatlán in February, you can enjoy the traditional carnival, with parades, parties, exotic carriages and a whole lot of fun.

Other important attractions are the botanical garden and the aquarium of Mazatlán, considered the biggest of Mexico.

Mazatlán has established itself as the Cultural Capital of Sun and Beach of Mexico, because of its activity. More than 200 cultural events are produced a year.

Mazatlán has tropical weather all year, with temperatures that range from 22ºC to 40ºC, which makes it a perfect destination all year round.
