Playa del Carmen is one of the youngest revelations among the Mexican beaches. It used to be a quiet village, but nowadays has transformed into one of the top beaches in Mexico, even taking out of the competition more famous places like Cancún or Acapulco.

FLIGHTS AND HOW TO GO TO PLAYA DEL CARMEN
Playa del Carmen is located 45 kms from Cancun, so the best way to arrive there is to fly to Cancun or Cozumel. From there the easy way is to take the Riviera Bus, but you have to check that is indeed the official Riviera Bus, because there are other companies offering the services but they are more expensive.
ACTIVITIES IN PLAYA DEL CARMEN
In Playa del Carmen you can enjoy not only the typical beach activities like diving, swimming, snorkeling, watch and swim with dolphins, but also you can rent a bike or motorcycle to visit the beach.
Xcaret Park - It is an interesting park that offers to: visit the best aquarium in México, explore the Xcaret Underground River, visit echo archaeological sites, meet the Tribes and much more.
Chichen Itza - One of the most impressive maya ruins in Mexico, definitely worth the detour.
WHEN TO GO TO PLAYA DEL CARMEN
In Mexico the temperature is excellent the whole year, but of course that is even hotter on June and July.
